Fall Prevention and Protection Competent Person Certification 

Fall Protection End User Course Description: The course is designed to meet OSHA training requirements for workers who are exposed to fall hazards. The course includes professional classroom theory instruction, participant handouts, group activities, and final written exam.  

Curriculum covers the fundamentals of fall prevention and protection with a focus on selection, inspection, and maintenance. Training covers fall protection risks and requirements associated with rooftops, scaffolding, ladders, and mobile elevated work platforms. Participants will learn about basic self and assisted rescue plans and suspension trauma potentials. Training includes the assessment for and use of fall protection and position restraints, guardrails, covers, net systems, barriers, warning lines and monitors. 

Who Should Attend: Required for employees whose tasks expose them to falls from heights and are required to implement or use fall protection devices and equipment. Initial training and refresher training when there are any reasons to believe that fall protection user does not have the understanding and skills required to ensure safety.  

IMPORTANT CONSIDERATIONS

Safety Equipment Recommended: Attending participants are encouraged to bring their personal fall protection harness for self-inspection and practical fit training.   

Completion Requirements: Participants are required to be present and actively participate in all learning activities including hands-on exercises, and written exam. Participants who successfully complete the program receive a fall protection end user training certification card. Employer specific training and authorization is required. Retraining and certification every 3 years or earlier due to unsafe act observed, a near miss or accident, and equipment or workplace changes.  

Learning Aids: Participants should come prepared with a notepad and pen. Guides and handouts will be provided at the start of the course. The presentation and materials are in English (Spanish courses are available upon request).

Course Length: Approximately 4 hours including classroom theory and activities followed by practical exercises. We will be covering a great deal of information in a short period of time; your punctuality will be greatly appreciated.

Scheduled Groups with minimum of 8 Participants Pricing: $75.00 ea.     
Association Member Material Pricing: $65.00 ea.
